I am a visual artist who studied painting in college and received a BFA in 1992. I furthered my education at the San Francisco Art Institute where I received my MFA in painting in 2008. I started to love painting in high school, due to a great art teacher, Ms. Jankowich. She taught me a love for drawing and painting that I carry with me today.
I use oil, acrylic, ink, encaustic and collage. I love to paint on paper, board and canvas.
I get inspiration from the natural world. The inner and outer connectivity of living things interests me. Inside a working living body there are elements that cause the body to alter itself so that is remains healthy. Outside in the natural world this continues. From a macro to a micro level cause and effect is the only constant.
